A practical guide to home charging, public charging, and range planning for MHERO 1 (M-Hero 917 EREV) and MHERO 2 (M-Hero 817 PHEV) owners in Lebanon.
Lebanon's electric vehicle charging infrastructure is growing — there are now AC chargers and DC fast chargers in Beirut, Jounieh, and several mountain and coastal towns. But power-grid reliability and access to public charging are still uneven across the country. For a pure battery-electric vehicle (BEV), that creates real range-planning friction.
This is exactly the problem MHERO was designed to solve. Both models we sell — the MHERO 1 (M-Hero 917) and the MHERO 2 (M-Hero 817) — are dual-powertrain vehicles. They drive on electricity for daily use, but they carry their own onboard fuel source for when you cannot reach a charger. The result: an EV experience without range anxiety, even in Lebanon.
The MHERO 1 is an EREV — extended-range electric vehicle. The wheels are driven exclusively by three electric motors (815 horsepower combined). A small gasoline engine acts as an onboard generator, recharging the battery on long trips. You never feel combustion power at the wheels — every kilometer is electric. The gasoline is only there as a refuel source for the battery.
Combined range: up to 1,000 km. Daily driving: fully electric. Long trips: stop at any gas station in Lebanon and you're back to full range in five minutes.
The MHERO 2 is a PHEV — plug-in hybrid electric vehicle. Two electric motors produce 700 horsepower and 848 N·m of torque for daily driving. The combustion engine can either recharge the battery or directly contribute to driving the wheels on highway runs, depending on the situation.
Combined range: up to 1,300 km — the longest in the lineup. Daily driving: electric. Long trips: seamless transition between electric and hybrid modes.
Most MHERO owners install a home charger. Two options:
Monza SAL can recommend certified installers and advise on placement, circuit sizing, and surge protection as part of your delivery package. For apartment buildings, we coordinate with your building's electrical contractor where needed.
Lebanon's public EV charging network has expanded substantially in the past two years. You will find chargers at:
Because both MHERO models are EREV/PHEV, public charging is a convenience, not a requirement. You can take the MHERO anywhere in Lebanon — Beirut to Akkar to the Bekaa to Tyre — without ever planning around a charger.
A few representative round-trips, fully on electric mode (no combustion) for the MHERO 1, starting from the Sin El Fil showroom:
For longer trips — Beirut to Damascus, Beirut to Aleppo, or weekend tours of multiple cities — the gasoline range-extender activates automatically when the battery runs low. No charging stops required. No range anxiety.
Every MHERO sold by Monza SAL comes with a charging-setup consultation: home charger placement, certified installer referral, and post-installation support. Book a showroom visit or call our sales line.
